Best Golf Vacations

There really isn't anything quite like a day out on the golf course. The perfect putt, the ideal swing, and sinking a ball into the hole are some things that all golf enthusiasts are after. Still, it can be hard to find golf courses that allow you to experience all of these things within one resort or hotel. We've found eleven places around the US that combine great golf with exceptional amenities and beautiful locales that are sure to make your stay memorable. Whether you're looking for a luxurious vacation or just a quick trip away from home, there's something here for everyone!

Torrey Pines

In the fall, winter, and spring, Torrey Pines is an excellent place to play golf. You'll be able to play all year round at Torrey Pines because of its proximity to the ocean. It's actually built on a series of cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The course has several challenging holes that will test your abilities as a golfer—but even if you're not a very good player now, you'll find plenty of fun at this course anyway!

The greens are fast (which means they're easy), and there are only two par 5s on this course (so those long drives won't go completely unnoticed). This course is an excellent way for beginners or families with young children to get into golf without having too much pressure put on them by being surrounded by experienced players all day long. If someone wants something more challenging than what's offered here, they can easily head out onto another part of San Diego County.
